Job Description

Eaton’s Aerospace division is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler III on 1st shift  to join our team. This position is based at our Camarillo, CA facility.

  • You will perform soldering, cabling, basic machine operating

  • You will perform basic electrical tests such as DWIR, DWV, and continuity tests.

  • You will interpret and understand complex drawings

  • You will set up equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping and contact hooding.

  • You will weigh, mix and identify items such as inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds and potting materials.

  • You will perform connector assemblies and train the Assembler 2s.

  • You will manually load and/or machine load retainers into molded plastic inserts per work order instructions.

  • You will assemble and bond EMI rings to connector shell per work order instructions.

  • You will apply identification stamping to various components and assemblies.

  • You will apply paint stripe markings to contacts.
  • You will prepare single and shielded wires for termination, crimp contacts to prepared wires, terminate simple cables to connectors, and load and operate heat treat and annealing ovens.

Qualifications

Basic/Required Qualifications:

 
  • Must have a High School degree or equivalent from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a mechanical assembler in a manufacturing environment

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in arms regulations. All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.

  • No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Camarillo, CA in order to be considered.

  • Ability to read, understand and follow product specifications, drawings and work orders in English

  • Ability to follow and understand verbal instruction in English

  • Ability to use calculators

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs

  • Ability to follow process specifications

  • Ability to handle components and assemblies

  • Ability to use hand tools

  • Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdown

  • Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts
