Finance Compliance Lead Analyst -US Government Contracts
Eaton Corporation has an opening for a Finance Compliance Lead Analyst- US Government Contracts within the Electrical Sector. This position is based at our Raleigh, NC location.
Position Overview :
The Finance Compliance Lead Analyst- US Government Contracts will ensure compliance with finance regulations in regards to government standards to include Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFARS). This position will assist with the indirect rate calculation for forward pricing rates and incurred cost submissions, proposal support and billing on cost type contracts. The Analyst will work with the Business Unit and the Electrical Sector Finance Compliance to maintain all aspects of finance compliance related to Government Contracts including timekeeping compliance, business system rules, contract cost accounting as well as resolution of issues and establishing best practices.

You will be responsible for the application and analysis of accounting principles on contracts, costs, processes, practices and procedures with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely management of Time Reporting, including the conduct of floor checks
You will calculate compliant, indirect and direct rates to be used for forward pricing or incurred cost submissions; to include document support and audit.
You will work closely with accounting staff, contract teams, contracts management team and compliance to ensure that company proposals, billings and claims comply with Government contract cost accounting regulations and that costs charged to the Government are allocable and allowable.
You will maintain records to support Government audits and fact finding.
You will engage in Estimating and purchasing compliance as related to indirect rates or finance compliance for Government Contracts.
- You will assist in Government requests for records.
You will assist in audits by oversight agencies, including Administrative Contracting Officers (ACO), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), and the U.S. General Services Administration or other agencies.
You will maintain awareness of issues concerning FAR, DFAR, disseminating guidance and embedding within policies & procedures as appropriate. Serve as the local compliance expert for guidance to the Business Unit on FAR, DFARS, and other government requirements to Management, Finance, Contracts, Supply Chain, Sales, Estimating and Program Management.
You will engage with broader Eaton Government Contracts organization, including accounting, contracts and compliance to share best practices.
You will make recommendations on accounting processes across the business to streamline audit preparation and compliance

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution
- 3 years of experience working in accounting/finance role with progressive responsibility
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of Government Accounting requirements (FAR, DFARS, CAS, TINA).
- Prior experience calculating forward pricing rates or Incurred Cost Submissions in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts
- Proven audit experience and ability to prepare audit reports
- Experience with Government Contracts to include indirect rate calculations
- Standards cost accounting knowledge
- Working knowledge of financial and ERP systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
