Join Eaton’s Information Technology IT team and help positively impact our business through leading technologies, exciting and challenging enterprise projects and new platforms.  We are currently seeking a Lead Learning Analyst to join our Commercial Operations Center of Excellence (COCOE) team. The Lead Learning Analyst manages a high volume of large learning management projects simultaneously and develops deliverables to a wide variety of businesses across the Eaton enterprise.    This position is based at our Eaton Center in Beachwood, Ohio. No relocation is being offered for this position.  If the candidate resides within 50 miles of Beachwood, Ohio, the candidate must work at that site. If the candidate resides more than 50 miles away from Beachwood, Ohio, the candidate will work remote from another US Eaton Facility or an approved home office.

  • You will lead or contribute to the OCM (Organizational Change Management) initiatives for IT projects.  Establishing OCM plans and working with Sr. Leadership, executing on all communications, OCM analysis, change methodology, communications portals, etc.

  • You will design and develop training courses (instructor-led and web-based), training materials, reference documentation and online help for Electrical IT applications to internal and external end users.

  • You will manage multiple training projects simultaneously (5-10 projects, up to 1000 users each) that vary in scope and length. 

  • You will identify and teach business resources to help execute on the training strategy.  Mentor others in Instructional Design through training, observing and coaching. Identify and resolve instructional-design related issues.  Conduct Train the Trainer classes.

  • You will research and communicate industry standards and "best practices." Willingness to research new methods and approaches of presenting and delivering educational materials.

  • You will partner with Eaton University and other training departments to implement learning strategies and instructional design models, as well as improve tools and processes.

  • You will assist developers in defining standards and designing user-friendly software interfaces. Serve as a user-advocate.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.

  • Minimum of 3 years combined experience in training, instructional design, and project management.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with or understanding of either front end solutions or manufacturing ERP systems, manufacturing/operations processes, terminology, and workflow.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with or understanding of global manufacturing and or sales /operations processes, terminology, and workflow.

 
 
Position Criteria:
  • Experience in custom design of training starting with a thorough needs assessment, selecting appropriate delivery method, and developing courses.

  • Mastery of documentation software tools such as Microsoft Office, Captivate, Camtasia, RoboHelp, FrameMaker, Visio, SharePoint, and SnagIt.  Proficient with: Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat and other tools as necessary. 

  • Experience with complex multi-site  training : for example, CRM or ERP implementations (SAP, MFGPro or Oracle strongly preferred)

  • Knowledge of best practices in the instructional design, technical communication and software documentation industry.

  • Ability to work closely with developers and all levels of staff to establish scope of projects and determine the resources and timeline required for completion.

  • Ability and willingness to work with all levels of end-users to gain knowledge of documentation needs and enhancements.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred membership in a training industry organization such as ASTD.
