Sr Sales Engineer - Power Quality
The primary responsibility is to manage the assigned customer base, to increase sales in the local marketplace, application guidance and technical assistance to assigned customers and/or distributors and obtaining orders that are profitable to Eaton.
Essential functions include: develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements, achieving assigned sales quota, develop, grow, and maintain relationships with Eaton employees, specifiers, customers and distributors. Maintain cooperative and credible working relationship with other company personnel to assure customer satisfaction. Provide technical assistance to customers, distributors and/or end users as needed. Plan promotional activities and presentations with end users to elevate products and solutions over competitors.
Sell assigned product (lines) to targeted customers with the objective of optimizing sales volume, product mix, and profit margin. Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence data on competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habits.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution required.
Minimum of 5 years on electronic/electrical or IT industry sales experience in a large company required.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English-Spanish required (90%).
No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area will be considered for this position.

Desired experience working with directly end customers and/or distributors in the mission critical, information technology, power quality and electrical market.
Experience utilizing Value Added Selling techniques.
Proficiency in computer skills Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Project Management)
Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence data on competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habits.
Desired experience in UPS market, Data Center/Power Quality and Power Distribution.
Knowledge/Experience of Eaton Power Quality products and their applications.
