A Transition Manager is responsible for migrating the function or the process from the Eaton Site globally to SCM SSC in Pune along with all ongoing projects for a function. To be successful, the manager needs to facilitate the changes & ensure that the transitions are done in an effective manner.

The role is central to our successful implementation of the Transitions action plan. He / she will draw on previous experience of project management to successfully run high profile transitions work to deliver both our financial savings and strategic goals. To lead this project successfully, the person will employ project management, business analysis and change management expertise that he / she will have developed through previous work. Through his / her work, the Project manager will deliver change in a manner that: is controlled and sustainable; is sensitive to the needs to stakeholders;  engages and benefits stakeholders.

 

The incumbent reports directly to the SCM SSC Ops Manager and functionally to the Program manager of the assigned Function.

 

 

 

Your essential responsibilities:

 

  • Manage timely execution of all the transitions under progress or planned in Quality and ensure that the Project execution plan is adhered to.

  • Working with the HR & Operations team to ensure the resources are onboarded for the process transition, Managing HC allocations and reporting on savings.

  • Coordinate with Customer stakeholder and SSC teams for timely and effective process transitions, evaluate risks, define and execute risk mitigation plans for each transition under the given account.

  • Diligently drive PROLaunch BPS Gated review for every transition for flawless launch.

  • Facilitating SCM SSC’s early engagement with businesses for possible optimization, standardization and transitions of processes.

  • Bring transparency in the transition process by defining expectations form both sides and recording through SOW and agreed SLA.

  • Monitor effectiveness of transition for the first 90 days after handing over to SSC operations team to measure flawless launch.

  • Planning and managing the capacity and resources required to manage service transitions

  • Work closely with SCM SSC Program managers, functional managers, analysts as well as stakeholders from sending site to ensure delivery of transitions per agreed timeline & quality

  • Ensuring that the final delivery of each service transition meets the agreed customer and stakeholder requirements as agreed at the time of HC approval and have the right business impact captured

  • Execute towards the defined growth path, be a key contributor in input sharing for growth definition

     



Qualifications

If you are:


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Engineering from an accredited institute with a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience

  • Prior experience managing projects in a large, multi-country organization with virtual teams

  • Prior Experience of transitions in an SCM Shared services environment

  • Influence stakeholders from various disciplines and across different levels of seniority across the organization

  • Expert in MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word,) & MS Visio

  • Advanced knowledge in English language required

  • Flexible in attitude to accept all tasks related to the position & willingness to learn new skills when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP/any other project management certification is an added advantage

  • Knowledge of traditional problem-solving tools

  • Change management and organizational effectiveness experience

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, presentation and organizational skills
  • Master’s degree in a technical or business management field
  • Prior Exposure or Experience in Manufacturing, Quality will be added advantage
