Monthly close and forecasting responsibilities.
Capital and fixed assets administration and controls.
Assists in analyzing plant monthly financial results and in preparing commentaries.
Update Encore ensuring completeness and reliable information.
Establish and implement accounting policies and procedures that safeguard company assets.
Investigate and resolve accounting issues in a accordance with GAAP
Participate in the profit planning process and reporting.
Participate in the physical inventory process.
Conduct and/or attend plant meetings which may affect current processes and may have financial implications.
Complete special projects as assigned to support plant strategic goals and improvements.
Provide analysis and support to plant manufacturing and administrative activities to meet profit plan goals, commitments and timelines.
Drive actions and improvements, establish and maintain processes in support of Eaton Business System criteria and initiatives. Responsible for either leading or participating in Continuous Improvement activities in areas of responsibilities through the deployment and utilization of Eaton Business System policies and processes, such as ELSS. CIF, PRO-Launch, EQS and others as applicable
Identify development opportunities for Accounting personnel and provide timely coaching and feedback on performance.
SOX compliance throughout different initiatives and monthly reconciliations completion.
Supervise the completion of balance sheet accounts reconciliation and follow through the resolution of any reconciling items, aged accounts, and any other potential accounting issues. Supervise the Accounts Payable function, ensuring invoices are paid timely based on Eaton approved payment terms and vendor issues are addressed timely.
Education Required Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
3 to 5 years’ experience as an accountant in manufacturing setting.
2 years of experience managing subordinates (schedule, delegate and review work).
Some experience in controlling and/or coordinating the forecast and profit planning process at the plant level.
