This exciting role is Design and Develop Low Voltage Switchgear ; meeting customer requirement, cost target and Market related technology. Coordinate with Global stakeholders and Drive project execution through Design, testing and implementation phase.Technical ownership of the project. Ensure product compliance to global design standards like IEC, NEMA or any other compliance standard. Completes system / component sizing, modeling, and simulation to meet Low voltage switchgear requirements.Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement through Change Management process.
Your essential responsibilities:
Demonstratedcapability in design of LV equipment like MCC, PCC, Switchboard etc.
Completes system / component sizing,modeling, and simulation to meet Power panels, switchboard requirements
Select engineering techniques to solveproblems and make design recommendations
Modify existing products to supportcustomer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, andmarket requirement.
Develops test plans for short circuit,temperature rise, arc test in accordance with IEC/UL standards. Creates testobject requirements, plan for assembly and finalize test parameters &instrumentation. Responsible for conducting tests by ensuring deployment ofstandard practices. Assesses test results, root cause analysis through testfindings/failures and takes corrective/preventive actions
Responsible for some system engineeringanalysis. Completes / reviews analysis on components through the use ofAnsys, Mat lab, MathCAD or Excel calculations
Uses Inventor/Creo to create componentdetail models and modifies models of existing products to meet new customerrequirements. Supervises detail design in completion of detail drawings andpackages
Support Creation of new designs andadvanced methodologies to support the Technical Roadmap of the organizations.
Review Supplier Document RequirementsList documents based on product requirements, customer specifications or industry standards like IEC, NEMA etc.,.
Review, design proposals anddocumentation required to define & control products
Participate in design reviews, bothcustomer and internal as required
Review reliability predictions, andDesign Failure Modes and Effects analysis (FMEA) and structural/thermal/CFDresults
Participate in multi-disciplineconcurrent development and corrective action teams
Perform a wide variety of engineeringand technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge andthe development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to products,materials, manufacturing processes, tests, and unique customer applications
May provide formal and informal updates toEngineering Manager and Program Manager. Participates in the preparation fordesign review material and is the lead presenter or supports more experience Engineer / Project Engineer / Project Lead during design reviews
OTD and quality performance of work deliveries
Program expense and product engineering cost
New Design Idea generation and contribution to intellectual property
If you are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
6 to 9 years of design experience with electromechanical systems
•Awareness of DFSS tools like FMEA.FMECA, Monte Carlo Analysis etc
•Hands on experience with Creo-Direct, Inventor, Model manager, Enovia
