Job Description

Eaton’s Vehicle Division has an opening for a Roadranger Development Program participant. This position will be based in Galesburg, MI.
Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Roadranger Development Program (RRDP) is to develop technically competent students for leadership roles in field sales and service within 18 – 24 months through practical work experiences, as well as assisting in the personal development of leadership competencies through training, networking and coaching. The assignment will help the participant develop a wide range of leadership and functional competencies.
Upon successful completion of the program, the Roadranger Development Program Participant will have developed good working knowledge of the following:
  • Products and support systems in the Roadranger Drivetrain System
  • Product Failure Mode Analysis
  • Customer base and distribution networks in the Trucking Industry
  • Business and Professional Skills such as negotiation, relationship building, and territory management
  • Fundamental Skills such as presentation skills, written communication, problem solving and time management.
  • Completing Foundation, Product, and Functional training assignments per stated goals
  • Managing expenses per stated program goals
  • Completing assigned projects as directed by Executive Sponsor, RRDP Program Manager or Assignment Manager


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
  • Valid Driver license
Position Criteria: 
  • Must be open to relocation anywhere in North America
  • Must be open to 75% travel
  • Strong technical aptitude (mechanical, electrical, software, systems)
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
