Tax Analyst - Outsourced Countries & Process Support


Location: Budapest, Hungary


The Tax Analyst will provide direct tax compliance support to the Eaton Budapest team for EMEA countries outsourced to third parties.  The role will also provide process support relative to the team's tracking software (OneSource Workflow Manager), as well as budget tracking of engagements with outside service providers.  Additionally, the Tax Analyst may need to provide support to others preparing tax returns for insourced countries if necessary.


Essential Functions:


·         Monitoring the Direct Tax return preparation process for countries outsourced to third party providers -- including working with Eaton's Finance and Controller organizations to provide clean data to providers, ensuring providers have all necessary information to prepare an accurate tax return, arranging meetings and monitoring deadlines to ensure timely tax filings

·         Maintenance of the team's compliance tracking software (OneSource Workflow Manager) as necessary

·         Assist in working with the Finance and Statutory Accounting teams to develop process improvements, Ensure the tax return process is properly documented with a clear audit trail for tax audits

·         Maintaining schedules to track payments to third party providers for tax compliance, and reconciling to the annual tax department budget for the same

·         Supporting in the preparation of tax returns for insourced countries if necessary



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or currently seeking a degree in the same field
  • 1-5 years of experience in Finance (Tax or Accounting preferred)
  • Working knowledge of corporate income taxation, strong familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
