This exciting role is he primary responsibility of this role is to simulate (with the help of commercial electromagnetic FEA tools) “Electromagnetic Physics” which is at the crux of operating performance for various Eaton Products (Electrical equipment such as Circuit Breakers, LV&MV Switchgears, Magnetic Actuators including Motors, Magnetic Sensors) and generates meaningful insights into key performance drivers for the product and provide value added suggestions to meet & exceed performance target.
Your essential responsibilities:
Partners with global teams, understands the design intent, develops and validates models to substantiate the designs of various components.
Performs project engineering work independently; communicates plan and requirements; and also coordinates all work within the scope of assigned projects.
Provides technical information and engineering recommendations to projects / processes.
Executes low complexity engineering projects independently and moderate complexity projects with minimal help. Executes key tasks associated with project independently or by collaborating with cross-functional disciplines.
Develops magnetic FEA models using mainly ANSYS-MAXWELL generate insightful magnetic analysis reports. Contribute in Multi-physics simulations (EMAG –Thermal, EMAG-Structural etc.) from Magnetics perspective. Optimizes product design led by insights from Analysis
Provide Innovative design suggestions leading to improved product performance and strengthening Eaton’s competitive advantage through strong IP (Intellectual Property) position
Communicates effectively to internal stakeholders, Provides innovative solutions or concepts to product engineering partners
Acts as the Technical Leader for small projects
If you are:
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Very strong Fundamentals in Electromagnetics (Mainly in Low Frequency)
1-2 years of relevant experience in magnetic simulation of Electrical Equipment
Familiarity with Finite Element Method (FEA) fundamentals as applied to Electromagnetics
Familiarity with commercial Electromagnetic FEA tools.
