Lead Systems Project Engineer
Eaton’s Fuel Motion Control / Aerospace Division is seeking a Systems Project Engineer. This position is located in Grand Rapids, MI.
The Systems Project Engineer will provide engineering team leadership performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software for the new product development of aerospace electro-mechanical actuation products from proposal through initial production.

You will drive value to the project team by building technical strength and capabilities, as it pertains to system and component design development and deployment.
You will lead the Technical Integrated Product Team (IPT) by driving the team to program milestones, design integrity and ensuring a high-level of engineering discipline.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 5 years of technical leadership in aerospace and/or actuation systems.
- Experience with new product development.
Relocation is NOT approved for this position; candidates must reside within a 50 miles radius of Grand Rapids, MI
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Experience with Actuators and Systems engineering experience.
Experience guiding New Product Development team(s) from product inception through to
initial production launch.
Experience supporting combined electrical and mechanical development programs.
Experience managing multiple projects.
Experience developing productive working relationships with functions and organizations outside of Engineering.
