Eaton is currently seeking a Senior Information Technology (IT) Business Relationship Manager to join our Administrative Center of Excellence (ADMCOE) team.


The Senior Information Technology (IT) Business Relationship is responsible for:


Partnering with the President of the Vehicle Group business in North America in addition to the global Operations function for Vehicle Group. This partnership role is essential to ensure delivery of the key technology components and systems to enable achievement of key strategic initiatives for the business. The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will align the Information Technology (IT) strategies with the business strategies, developing associated initiative roadmaps and priorities accordingly.


The BRM will also partner and align roadmaps and priorities with the enterprise IT Center of Excellence (COE) teams to effectively manage the business IT project portfolio and associated budgets. Identifying and assessing innovative opportunities, driving utilization and adoption of IT standard technology solutions, and overall reviews of IT status measures with the business are additional requirements of the role. The Business Relationship Manager is the primary point of contact for a sub-set of IT services and strategic projects.

In this role you will:
  • You will identify opportunities and projects, build consensus across your customer base and IT, and develop business cases to secure funding; spans multiple business functions.
  • You will ensure the scope of projects are well-defined for transition to delivery COEs.
  • You will ensure all stakeholders are engaged, projects are completed and return on investment is realized.
  • You will review escalated issues for scope and clarity, vetting, documenting and routing through the appropriate support mechanisms.
  • You will provide delivery assurance of medium and large-sized initiatives leveraging the COEs.
  • You will ensure the effective level of support for existing systems/processes.
  • You will ensure significant projects are delivered effectively and reliably to meet the strategic business objectives, acting as DGC members.
  • You will ensure all stakeholders are engaged, projects are completed and return on investment is realized.
  • You will demonstrate financial acumen through CAR preparation, budget management and profit planning
  • You will perform vendor management and contract, negotiations and reviews.
  • You will ensure IT COE alignment with IT strategic priorities, roadmaps, and projects that support the key business imperatives and strategies.
  • Drive the Industry 4.0 strategy for the Vehicle Group.

We prefer the candidate to be located at our Galesburg, MI facility; however, are also open to either the Southfield or Marshall, MI locations.


Required (Basic) Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of IT Application experience, including direct Project Management experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s degree
  • Prior Management experience
  • Exposure or Experience with Industry 4.0 trends and deployments.
Position Criteria:
  • Advanced understanding of the business Strat Plan.
  • Advanced to SME understanding of some of the business processes at Eaton or prior Company.
  • Contributor to operational or functional Strat Plans.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of financial processes.
  • Intermediate understanding of business industry trends and impact to operations or functions.
  • Advanced to SME understanding of integration and impact points of involved systems globally for a division or function.
  • Advanced understanding of IT industry trends and applicability to operations.
