Eaton Automotive Systems facility in Poland, Bielsko-Biala opens recruitment for:


Supplier Development Engineer

 

Essential functions:

 

  • Manage the development and launch of machined parts through the use of APQP methodology and technical process development input.

  • Support to regional plant quality teams to define systemic improvements actions for  chronic suppliers impacting regional operations and not meeting expected improvement goals

  • Lead continuous improvement activities in the managed regional supply base using Value Stream Mappings, Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma approaches to drive cost-out and capability improvements

  • Support commodity managers and buyers with technical input to commodity strategy development and sourcing activities

  • Assure compliance with EHS regulations, IATF 16494 & ISO 14001

  • Managing projects and active participation in projects processes.

  • Participations in audits e.g. 5S, ISO, IATF 16949, LPA, LOTO, observation of behaviors.

Qualifications

• Speaks English as a primary/secondary language

• Technical degree in engineering discipline or equivalent work experience

• Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing Engineering experience in machining

• 3–5 years’ experience in using quality tools/methodologies(PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC)

• Green Belt certified and working toward Black Belt certification is an advantage

• Knowledge of Industry specific quality registration (IATF16949)

• Ability to work cross-functionally

• Ability to think strategically
