Global Product Manager
Eaton’s Industrial Division is seeking a Global Product Manager for its Hydraulics division. The Global Product Manager position will be located at its Eden Prairie, MN Headquarters facility.
Position Overview :
Global product line management responsibility for the Medium Pressure Closed Circuit Piston Products. The Global Product Line Manager is responsible for implementing the growth strategies to drive product profitability, volume, mix, market share improvement, and price. Key responsibilities include: execution of the product lifecycle strategy, business development, global PANP, global product marketing, rationalization, global promotion, global strategic pricing and training.

You will analyze global market & customer needs and lead PANP (penetration, attrition, new product and price) efforts to drive outgrowth of the product line.
You will lead the global business development activities for the product line.
You will acquire & retain comprehensive knowledge of global competitive positioning and competitor strategies.
You will support development of product strategies/roadmaps and lead execution of the product strategies; including positioning, managing product, segment & channel mix; and developing targeted value propositions.
- You will be the global lead for implementing strategic pricing.
You will support resolution of the commercial and technical issues that occur, as required, for the product line.
You will monitor global product profitability for each product family and recommend changes to meet Eaton top and bottom line objectives.
You will lead cross functional Product Growth Team members to propose prioritization of product development activities.
You will interface with the Global Eaton Sales Team, Distributors, and customers to promote and support the sale of responsible product lines – with a strong focus on organic growth.
You will lead the global development and deployment of marketing programs to drive organic sales for the assigned product lines.
You will act as key global marketing resource for, trade shows, Tech Days and other related National/International forums. Participation in Trade Associations.
You will provide support on commercial contract negotiations on a needed basis
You will support global manufacturing footprint strategies based on customer/market requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field required
Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience, mechanical or electrical sectors
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Relocation is not included with this position. Only candidates that reside within a 50 mile radius of the Eden Prairie, MN facility will be considered.
Strong public speaking/presentation skills utilized in conjunction with participation in various Eaton and industry meetings
- High skill level in computer utilization, MS Office Suite,
- MBA – Highly preferred
- Strong sales/marketing experience and technical experience
Understanding of markets, distribution channels, OEM requirements, and brand strengths in dealing with positioning strategies
Experience with or aptitude to understand financial analysis and accounting principles

Global Product Line Manager has responsibility for PANP (Penetration, Attrition, New Product and Pricing) for the product line. Success in this role requires a keen regional insight and extremely high level of communication and collaboration.
This position requires an aggressive individual who relishes a fast paced work environment with a high level of involvement. The ability to think cross functionally and across boundaries with a strong focus on results will enhance overall effectiveness. This position will provide information to all levels of the organization.
The position is global and will require effective interaction across cultures and time zones
The ability to understand and communicate on a technical and commercial level is required
- A strong business sense is required to make
judgements on customer/market acceptance of decisions made in this position on
items ranging from product/feature offering to strategic pricing.
