Eaton’s Aerospace division is currently seeking a Sr. Molding Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Nogales facility.

- Support the development of new products.
Provide support to the molding production department to ensure the quality of the product in the time it is needed and ensure the necessary equipment and tools to support the molding volumes.
Identify root causes and implement corrective actions in the area.
Suggest and lead projects to reduce manufacturing costs, improve flows and optimize processes.
Ensure product documentation and manufacturing processes to meet the requirements of AS9100.
Periodic review and updating of material lists (BOM) and workflow of molding (Routings).
Validate and update the load of machines for the correct administration of resources.
Review and define optimal molding parameters for the current and / or new part numbers respectively.
Provide support in the training of molding technicians.
Keep updated on knowledge related to new technologies, materials, equipment, processes and trends of the industry and the market through seminars, courses, etc.
Ensure that any hazardous material or process is reviewed and approved before being used in molding processes; work with production to implement the necessary security revisions.
Improve current molding processes through scientific molding.
Design tools to support the molding processes as necessary.
Compliance with the metrics established
Participate in the preparation of PFMEAS of the manufacturing systems.
Participate in internal / external corrective actions and propose effective actions.
Look for opportunities to implement error-proof devices (poka-yoke).
Maintain updated layout of their assigned areas.
Ensure compliance to the system of AS9100, Engineering Procedures and Specific Customer Requirements.
Communication and scaling of tool open issues and drawings from early design stages.
Coordination and monitoring of construction of engineering samples.
- BS/BA from an accredited institution
Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as Manufacturing Engineer
Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in Molding Engineering
- Experience in manufacturing Companies
- Experience in Cost reduction projects
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Problem Solving
- Bi-lingual (Spanish and English)
