Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulics division is currently seeking a Materials Planner to join our team.

This position is based at our Querétaro facility.

The Materials Planner  is an essential member of staff in any medium or large manufacturing operation. The material planner ensures a steady flow of all materials needed to keep a manufacturing line operating..

Solid experience on project launches. Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.

  • Scheduling of  Incoming  material, overall ownership of material ordering and availability

  • Strategic think to anticipate any material disruption

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure plant  inventory objectives are met.

Some activities related with the position will be:

A

Analyze, Planning and require the raw material  and/or subassemblies for OEM & Service  Parts production line’s (releases) 

B

Avoid production line shutdown due to lack of raw material or  subassemblies

C
Manage Phase In / Phase Out  to avoid obsolete material
D

To resolve all the discrepancies of shipments with  suppliers  and  internal customers

E
Drive continuous improvements
F

Support to engineering change’s (pro launch and cost out projects) and new  projects

G

Monitor inventory levels to ensure plant inventory objectives

H

Follow-up  supplier  shipments &  Track the supplier delivery

I

Maintaining  MRP system

J

Daily Shortage root cause investigation and resolution

K

Activities to support Corona Project: Materials planning process.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in  Business, Engineering or similar
  • MFG Pro Advanced  level(Desirable)
  • English Advanced
  • Negotiations & Leadership skills

  • ERP Planning skills (desirable MFG/Pro)

  • MRP knowledge
  • Technical knowledge of bill of material structuring, schedule execution, and inventory management

  • APICS training (Desirable)
  • 5 Years  experience (at least)  as materials planner in automotive industry or similar, working with  global suppliers
