Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Sales Manager Residential & Wiring Devices Division to join our team. This position is based at our Mexico City facility.


The Sales Manager is responsible for:


Direct all sales activities to achieve financial goals in accordance with marketing and sales plans. This position requires coaching, directing and training sales professionals in their respective assignments to succeed at managing and developing their customer base, leveraging internal and external sales resources, driving products and the channel to market to achieve market share gains, support price attainment goals and support strategic initiatives throughout the country.   Builds close relationships with key customers and distributors to enhance sales volume and customer service.   Understands major competitors’ tactics, organization, distribution strategy, and pricing while keeping management informed of trends and changes of the region.  


  • Establish/Build new and/or existing relationship with key end users and distributors to increase sales volume and customer service.
  • Plan, direct and drive the sales resources to assure that adequate coverage is applied to all accounts and region. Collaborates with the Project Sales Manager to specify EATON products with contractors, EPC and end users

  • Understand competitors’ products, tactics, strategy, pricing, and their position in the country to trigger/lead growth initiatives in collaboration with MKT, Customer Service, Cuatitlan Plant.

  • Increase business profitability through Identifying, analyze, select, and continuously improve the product mix and channels to market.

  • Implement Strategic sales plans while identifying gaps and opportunities and resources needed to convert and penetrate  key accounts and new vertical markets to capture incremental sales

  • Align all the resources to execute flawless product line initiatives and new product launches.

  • Train, develop, and continuously improve organizational capabilities of sales personnel.

  • Win-Win Negotiations with distributor´s owners to achieve internal and external sales budget

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

•BS Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial engineering.   

•Experience: 5-7 years in similar position in electrical industry or B2B business (preferred)

•High Negotiation Skills, Project management, Strategic Pricing and Competitive Analysis, etc

•Well financial understanding of profit, margins, markup, P&L, return over sales (ROS)

•Advanced level of Office software: Word, Outlook, Powerpoint & Excel (essential)

•Strong verbal articulation, presentation and written communication skills

•100% Availability to travel locally & internationally

•Advanced level of Office software: Word, Outlook, Powerpoint & Excel (essential)
