Eaton Limited has an opening in the Product Support and Technical Services Department for a customer support engineer at our Bedhampton facility. 

 

This role is primarily responsible for:

  • Providing technical support and resolution of issues within the workshop and with the Customers
  • Creating and updating technical data, RRI’s and Route cards
  • Reviewing and verifying Component Maintenance Manuals
  • Best practice opportunities and rework schemes – Cost Savings
  • Attending and supporting Trier review meetings
  • Supporting and Improving On Time Delivery
  • Conducting Warranty adjudication within the targeted time
  • Conducting and Leading Product investigations involving detailed report writing and root cause and corrective action
  • Clear communication with both internal and external customers
  • Leading 8D events effectively
  • Warranty reduction activities and in-service performance reviews
  • Providing 24/7 Out of hours Technical Assistance Team 

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Meet Aftermarket goals, activities and strategies in accordance with the strategies identified by the Product Support Manager.
  • Meets performance plans and targets and take corrective action as required to meet these goals.
  • Ability to manage customer relationships while continuously improving Eaton’s reputation.
  • Drives focus on Technical Support to the Customer and throughout Eaton Limited.
  • Reviewing In-service performance of our products and conducting reviews to improve it (if required)
  • Manage workloads and customer expectations
  • Produce and execute internal and external training packages
  • Manage 8D events effectively and communicate the results and corrective actions


Qualifications

Are you?

  • Good Product knowledge, aircraft system knowledge would be an advantage to not a requirement.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities concurrently whilst still meeting expected deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interact positively and effectively with personalities at the business unit, senior Eaton management and customers at all levels.
  • Excellent computer skills; including Microsoft Office package.
