This exciting role is part of Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) – Modeling& Simulation Center of Excellence.


Your essential responsibilities:

  • This role is to perform structural analysis of various Eaton products for dynamic and vibrational loading requirements. Individual will be required to partner with global teams, understand specific design intent, develop and validate structural analysis models to substantiate various engineering designs. Candidate should ensure proper coordination and communication with all stakeholders by following project management best practices.

  • This position will support Current Product or NPD teams or Engineering programs and will conduct specific low to medium complexity tasks assigned. Candidate will be required to work individually or as a part of a team and with other engineering or cross-functional disciplines.

  • The candidate should have strong background in solid mechanics with through understanding of finite element analysis fundamentals. He/She needs understand and handle non-linear analysis involving geometric, contact and material non-linear behavior. Incumbent should have understanding of vibrational fundamentals with working knowledge around stress and strain based failure predictions and methods. He/She should proactively look for various opportunities to validate his/her analytical predictions with physical testing to constantly mature DP capabilities.

  •  Candidate will be required to investigate problems and requirements of projects in discussion with local as well as global stakeholders. It is expected to develop plans for solutions ensuring successful conclusion of all phases of assigned projects, within an appropriate time. Candidate will be required to coordinate with other departments on assigned tasks and secure inputs from various stakeholders and make recommendations accordingly.

  • Collaborate with a technology and product team to define problem statements

  • Participate in development of digital prototype methodologies in Structural Dynamics  domain

  • Deploy developed DP methodologies in Eaton products to strengthen “Analysis First” strategy

  • Liaison with the test lab to validate DP prediction and suggest test procedures including measurement systems

 

 

Qualifications


If you are:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical / Aerospace / Applied Mechanics / Civil Engineering with Machine Design / Structural Mechanics / Computational Modeling specialization from reputed institute (full time course) with 0-1 years of experience in structural analysis of mechanical components. Candidate must have thorough knowledge of Finite Element Methods, Strength of Materials & Machine Design.  Hands on experience on CAE software programs such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, Hypermesh,  etc. will be added advantage. It is desired for the candidate to have understanding of analytical calculations and methods to correlate analysis results with test data. Candidate must have demonstrated ability to interpret, summarize and communicate FE analysis results to global audience and provide technical and/or design recommendations.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying Structural  Dynamics analysis methodologies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English

  • Experience in creating business compelling proposal 

  • It is desired for the candidate to have understanding of analytical calculations and test data correlation methods. Candidate must have demonstrated ability to interpret, summarize and communicate analysis results to global audience along with technical and/or design recommendation
