Senior Quality Engineer
Eaton’s Aerospace division is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Middlesex, NC facility.
The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, coordinating and deploying work instructions/procedures and associated process controls. In this role, you will manage quality assurance resources to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements. You will assist the Quality Manager to provide total quality leadership to customers, suppliers, partners and all internal stakeholders.

You will complete Quality Engineering assignments such as contract review, manufacturing support, PPAP, auditing and corrective action investigations with minimal supervision.
You will define, specify, and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes.
You will guide improvement teams in the development and evaluation of process capability, process control plans, investigate out of control conditions and process audits.
You will ensure development, implementation and audit of complex inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria and procedures/work instructions.
You will participate in and/or may lead the auditing of internal Quality Systems and completes part approval documentation to assure that customers’ requirements are met in new or modified products and processes.
You will lead or provide technical advice and counsel to cross-functional teams assigned to process improvement projects / problem solving teams
You will provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers as needed.
You will assure that product shipped meets internal and external customer requirements.
You will assist in designing and implementing Quality Assurance training programs and conducts training in quality related topics relative to the work.
You will ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization, and the organizational freedom to resolve matters pertaining to quality.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution required.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a Quality Engineering role or minimum five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refuge
2 years of hose manufacturing experience.
5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering Role
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Manager of
Quality/ Organizational Excellence (MOQ/OE) is preferred.
Experience in performing Quality Audits.
Technical proficiency in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) models
- Experience with failure analyses, A3s, 8Ds, 5Y
- Project management and audit ownership experience
