The role requires significant and demonstrable digital signal processing algorithm design, embedded systems development and engineering experience. You will be involved in a leadership capacity in the design and development of new firmware, software, and hardware prototype solutions for intelligent mission-critical & secure IoT use cases.
You will work with multiple internal and external partners & research consortia, and will also be responsible for ensuring global projects maintain alignment with the overall technology strategy and scope. The role will involve identifying and understanding complex business needs, program risks, wider research ecosystem collaboration opportunities, and influencing key stakeholders.
The Systems Engineer - Sr. Specialist will actively contribute to IP generation, top-tier academic and industry publications, detailed project plans, and the overall vision, aims, resourcing, and growth of the center.
Work with your team and partners, contributing to the architecture, design, development, and testing of prototype and pre-production firmware, software, and hardware solutions. Work directly with stakeholders, engineering, and test to create high quality solutions that lead to new products and features. Lead and contribute to IP generation, project and multi-year programme proposals, and external presentations.
Work with internal and external stakeholders and the wider research ecosystem to evaluate potential technical solutions and identify opportunities for collaboration. Author high quality,high performance unit-tested code based on business and data engineering needs and participate in code reviews.
Devise and support methods for data input/output, networking, digital signal processing, multi-modal sensing transducers, while ensuring security.Recommend, set up, integrate, and utilise development environments and program tracking frameworks as required for business and data engineering needs. Act as a senior mentor and adviser to others in your team.
- Masters and/or Ph.D.
8+ years experience in digital signal processing design and development, 8+ years in an applied research role as an innovator and technical lead with a proven record of delivering high quality proof of concept implementations and publications. 5+ years of experience as a lead contributer.
Digital signal processing, multi-modal sensing and fusion, proposal preparation and delivery, IoT and reliable connected solutions, embedded systems, industrial prototype development and evaluation.
Ability to clearly present ideas and proposals to non-technical and senior technical audiences, time and people management
