Job Description

Ensure the control of temporary inventory management of Reynosa Auto Plant

Ensure the data integrity of Trade Compliance processes.

Ensure the full compliance with Customs Regulations and obligations (MEX & USA)

Maintain the VAT certification

Validate the annex 24 data integrity (Interfaces, Operation’s Report, I/E Modules, BOM’s, Product Values & Costs, etc.)

Inventory Reconciliation performance between Annex 24 and ERP (including: cycle counts, receiving and shipments discrepancies, Inventory adjustments, Perpetual Inventories, Scrap, etc.)

Achieve metrics and goals related to Trade Compliance.

Provide Customs support and advisory to the business.

Maintain strong communication with all members for businesses in charge.

Collaborate  to attend customs audits and any other requirements from Mexican or USA government office.

Collaborate to attend internal customs audits from Eaton Internal Audit team or Peer Reviews Audits.

Oversee inventory reconciliation of Fixed Assets vs Import Records (Open Balance).

Provide accurate and on time information to GTM and VAT team related to the VAT certification including:

              Monthly reports (Annex 31)

              Temporary inventory reconciliations

              Evidence documents and worksheets as needed

Ensure compliance with the Trade Compliance reporting obligations (RTO)

              Annual IMMEX report

              Annual Tax-Fiscal report

              INEGI report

              Sub-manufacturer report


              GTM Mexico monthly report

              Waste affidavit report

Stay up-to-date with the Law and other customs regulations applicable to import and export trade operations.


Bachelor degree in Foreign Trade Compliance and/or Customs Law.

Minimum 3 years of experience in the aforementioned field.

Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel audit formulas).

Knowledge of Vastera system (Annex 24).

Balance Account Reconciliation.

Knowledge of ERP transactions.

Up to date knowledge of Mexican customs law, regulations and certifications (VAT/AEO)

Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.

Root cause analysis.

Continuous Improvement Skills.

Bilingual (Spanish-English).
