Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulic division is currently seeking a Factory Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro facility.

The Factory Manager is responsible for manging and providinng leadership to the assigned manufacturing area by directing the manufacturing, process quality, manufacturing engineering and maintenance functions. Responsible to accomplish manufacturing objectives, staffing plan, maintenance programs, safety standards; engineering, quality and productivity goals to meet or exceed customer’s requirements while achieving financial and operational business objectives. Promotes a positive employee relations climate through leadership and enhances high performance culture through proper feedback, coaching, and motivation.

Some activities related with the position will be:

  1. Drive Eaton Zero Incident Culture through his value stream by the effective deployment of  MESH process and elements, support EHS department initiatives, measure and monitor performance indicators and execute actions to mitigate any existing risk within his operation.

  2. Pursuit Customer satisfaction and operational excellence by delivering high five goals, pursuit zero defects and drive continuous improvement activities in his area of responsibility through the deployment and utilization of Eaton Business System policies and processes, such as ELSS, CIF, PRO-Launch, EQS and others as applicable.

  3. Develops in conjunction with Plant leadership policies related to the production area, builds synergies with functional areas for creating efficient and effective  plans for workload balance, prioritization of task and resource utilization and coordination for achieving high productivity levels

  4. Delivers Profit Plan and Forecast expectations. Responsible for managing manufacturing cost in an effective an efficient manner, flex resources and expenses according to revenue expectations, pursuit and execute cost out initiatives. Develop a strong culture of  waste elimination within his value stream.

  5. Supports new programs implementation and Product Team requirements or needs by attending as required Pro Launch or product team sessions.

  6. Maintains strong and healthy employee relationships with all personnel as well the  Union to ensure a progressive workforce, a climate of high performance, accountability,  team work  and ethics in addition to promote and live “Power of One”

  7. Develops team members with the support of functional areas to develop a capable team with the appropriate knowledge and skills that can excel in performance while assuring a strong talent pipeline.

  8. Provides direction and overall leadership and support for cost out initiatives at the plant and divisional levels. Direct the development of accurate work standards to correctly cost the product lines.

  9. Performs activities according to the Quality and Environmental policies established by the business.

  10. Support and/or participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as: Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost out and/or demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • 8 years of experience in a Manufacturing / Operations environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading people or project teams.
  • Proven knowledge in the areas of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, plant engineering, production/materials planning, SPC, problem solving methods, root cause analysis and systems applications
  • Strong financial acumen with knowledge of capital equipment analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, project cost analysis and long term maintenance analysis
  • Proven ability to think strategically and to drive change and successfully lead and implement organizational change
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge in MFGPro Preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
