Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems division is currently seeking a Paint Line Operator to join our team. This position is based at our Airdrie, Alberta facility.

 

Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for manually and automatically painting produced parts using the powder coating paint system.

  • You will mark orders as started or completed by identifying the next order in sequence by priority, then by date, and marking them as complete when done.
  • You will paint all parts required for production, including parts being supplied to other Eaton facilities by checking orders, selecting paint required and other duties as required.
  • You will perform daily chemical testing, environmental tank cleaning and chemical handling as required by following established procedures with input from external sources.
  • You will operate the burn-off oven system by performing tests prior to burn-off procedure and following standard procedures.
  • You will perform standard maintenance and ongoing equipment quality inspections by performing visual inspections, checking hoses/gun nozzles, assessing performance to standards and solving problems.
  • You will inspect finished products by checking thickness of paint, aesthetics of coat.
  • You will perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values as well as the Safety and Environmental Standards.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent level of education from an accredited institution
  • Must  be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship
  • Only candidates that currently reside within 80 kilometers of Airdrie, Alberta will be considered
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience using powder coating paint system considered an asset.
  •  Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with machines.

  • Position is physically demanding and requires candidates have the ability to stand for extended periods of time, perform repetitive motions and lift heavy objects.
