Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulics division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.

This position is based at our Reynosa facility.

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for Manage and execute all activities related to the implementation and improvement of production processes including machinery and equipment.

Some activities related with the position will be:

 

A.        Manage the Extrusion Tooling Dept. incorporating metrics to ensure tooling and fixtures are always available and ready for Production.

B.        Proactively support production dept. by providing all processes, equipment, and tooling requirements.

C.        Support all CI and Cost out initiatives

D.        Drives Continuous Improvements opportunities on processes, assembly equipment, tooling and documentation throughout EBS tools.

E.        Support GEMBA findings related to engineering to ensure proper on time closure.

F.         Create and update Manufacturing Instructions, ETRs, Process Sheets, Process Flow Diagrams, Bill of Materials, Process Routings, etc. result of the implementation of any engineering change, equipment replacement, equipment movement, line movement, product transfer, etc.

G.        Ensure MESH requirements on any process, equipment and/ or fixture released in production.

H.        Establishment and proper documentation of process parameter, product specifications, validation builds.

I.          New Processes implementation, current processes improvement and execution of kaizen events to reduce the set up times (set up reduction projects), based on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Costs.

J.         Develop and maintain the PFMEAS
K.        Be and active participant of the HPWT.

L.       Support to the Manufacturing Engineer during the design and fabrication of manual assembly fixtures and tooling,

M.       Follow up with the Manufacturing Engineer on the creation or updates of Manufacturing Instructions, ETRs, Process Sheets, Process Flow Diagrams, Bill of Materials, Process Routings, etc. result of the implementation of any engineering change, equipment replacement, equipment movement, line movement, product transfer, etc.

N.      Develop Engineering procedures as required by the Quality System

O.       Participate and be active member of the JSA and Ergonomics committees.

P.        Design and modify the production equipment and machinery taking into consideration and implementing at all times all safety and ergonomics regulations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical or Electronics Engineering

Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing and Manufacturing Processes

Knowledge of AUTOCAD, Pro E or Solid Works is a plus

Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)

Knowledge of APQP requirements

Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 requirements

Minimum 5 years experience in similar position

Bilingual English-Spanish

Experience in high mix production lines and processes (preferable)
