Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical Distribution Division is currently seeking a Systems Test Technician on 1st Shift. This position will be based at either our Peachtree City, GA facility or our Atlanta, GA facility.    

 

The Systems Test Technician will be testing IoT applications for Connected Lighting systems. The incumbent will be playing a critical role in driving product quality by executing well defined system test before and after product releases.

  • You will execute system and Functional tests

  • You will assign test cases and execute the test cases in the systems.

  • You will be responsible for logging execution of tests into JIRA

  • You will use tools such as JIRA, Confluence and TestRails daily

  • You will identify, record and track bugs

  • You will perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in either Testing web applications OR mobile applications OR Wireless devices.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship on an ongoing basis.
  • No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Peachtree City, GA OR Atlanta, GA to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited institution

  • A minimum of 2+ years’ related test and/or laboratory experience, providing familiarity with development laboratory work.

  • Familiarity with Cooper Lighting product lines.
  • Previous experience with JIRA, Confluence and TestRails
  • Knowledge of bug tracking tools such as JIRA

  • Basic understanding of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
