Job Description

The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for working with the Channel Sales Manager to win, maintain, and expand relationships with assigned channel partners. The Field Sales Engineer will contribute in the growth and expansion of company’s Electrical Wholesalers, Panel Builders & Contractors channels by defining, planning and executing targeted actions to drive sales.

  • Responsible for contributing to achieving and exceeding the Sales targets. Achieving Apex goals, by selling all company products to the assigned channel partners, including LV-MV and LSD products.
  • Technical support: Support customer to follow internal procedures (i.e. RMA, warranty requests, etc.). Managing and handling technical inquiries from Customers, collecting all the necessary technical information, drawings, calculations and specifications. Train direct and indirect customers (EWS, installers, etc.) on specific product families (EL, Fire, Security, LV etc.)
  • Reviews and reports regularly to the Channel Sales Manager on sales activity and performance to plans.
  • Continuously promote Eaton Electric offering (LSD, LV-MV), Provide specifications that affect projects from identifying opportunities until final procurement decisions are made in the form of orders (indirect or direct).
  • Builds close relationships: With key personnel within key customers to enhance sales volume, customer satisfaction and long term business prospects


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

  • Relevant work experience 3+

  • A demonstrable technical understanding of LV-MV & SAFETY products and solutions.

  • Very good numeracy skills and knowledge of reporting.

  • Good written communications skills and messaging

  • Creative and analytical thinking.

  • Creative approach to problem solving

  • Initiative and organizational skills.

  • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

  • Must be able to utilize time effectively and handle multiple tasks at one time.  Can prioritize work to get the most important things done first.  Is more proactive than reactive

  • Plan and execute presentations on specific products in order to gain recognition and customer acceptance of products and services

  • Fluency in English

  • Focus on engaging customers to drive revenue

  • Must be an innovative, creative thinker, self-starter with energy and enthusiasm.

  • Passion for using and learning technology

  • Curiosity for trying new things
