Eaton Pessano con Bornago has a vital role in our EMEA Hydraulics Business. As a 3D Designer you will work closely with the Engineering Office, the Sales Teams in Italy and abroad and the Application Teams. You will provide Technical  support to serve customers within the region and increase the System Business sales.  You will have end to end responsibility for Design and 3D drawing for Industrial and Mobile customers.

The purpose of the role is to provide 3D drawings to customers in order to meet their layout requirements and to realize detailed manufacturing drawings of manifold blocks and power units for the production.


Your main duties:

Develop 3D designs for new products: 

Design of Hydraulic Power Units and Manifold Blocks 

Review and enhance 3D designs for existing products and provide recommendations

Manage the related documentation for both new and revised 3D designs 

Understand the project requirements and develop high quality designs accordingly      

 Develop design layouts for complex projects using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools (Autodesk Inventor)

Develop primary sketches and models for final selection of product designs

Select materials, engineering standards, and generic parts for 3D product designs 

Present designs to clients and internal teams clearly 

Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions

Develop product information packages including drawing specifications 


What we are looking for:


  • Secondary School Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or comparable qualification

  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in an hydraulics schematics and drawings

  • Excellent knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCad

  • Independent and structured way of working

  • Communication and team player skills

  • Good understanding of hydraulic components (pumps, valves, accumulators, fittings)

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, relationships and leverage diversity

  • Customer oriented

  • Professional English knowledge in speaking (at least intermediate level), reading and writing
