We are looking for a resourceful, enthusiastic individual that tackles challenges head-on and is able to work effectively both independently and in tandem with other members of the team. The Accounts Assistant will report directly to the Finance Manager and will be accountable for:
General Finance processing, reporting and associated activities for Eaton Lighting Systems, UK.
Role based in Cwmbran covers two sites on two accounting systems.
Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Activities
Accounts Payable processing & associated activities
Reporting & Analysis
Liaison with intercompany partners
Month End Routines & Calculations
Creation and Review of Key Internal Control Reports
Monthly Audit Sample Testing of key Internal Controls
Audit Testing of Import & Export Documentation
Audit Testing of Proof of Export
Validate & submit payroll data to in-house payroll bureau
Review & approve final payroll and process to GL
Good academic record
Possibly part qualified, or AAT qualified, accountant.
Ability to work within a number of business and processes
Attention to detail is essential
Knowledge of SAP, desirable
Excellent Microsoft skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast paced, accountable team environment.
Hands-on approach to all tasks
Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple projects
Ability to work within a number of businesses and processes
Willingness to take on additional duties and develop new skills.
