Eaton’s Vehicle division is currently seeking a Materials Planning and Inventory Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Aguascalientes facility.
The Materials Planning and Inventory Supervisor  is responsible for the material planning activities from various outside suppliers for North American Vehicle Group operations.

Some activities related with the position will be:
  • Manage Materials Planning for both discrete and min-max planned items
  • Manage Inventory Levels in the plant, analyze the correct level of inventory required for every business unit in the plant and follow up closely with the planning team in order to achieve that goal
  • Communicating through the standard tools and channels the forecast requirements to the supply base
  • Reviewing assigned items and responding to shortages, real and potential
  • Communicating with suppliers for parts planned by the plant or divisional planners for those items planned by division regarding past due shipments and drop-in requirements.
  • Coordinating follow-up meetings / calls with suppliers or divisional planners to drive performance improvement for non-performing suppliers.
  • Setting up and monitoring expedited freight
  • Coordinate the plant scheduling for all the markets and follow up the plan achievement
  • Reviewing, updating and developing processes for the Materials Planning team
  • Managing ECR/ECO deployment actions for assigned parts and suppliers or follow up with divisional planners
  • Training and setting up suppliers in a vendor-managed inventory system for parts planned by the plant
  • Supporting cleanup up of invoice holds and ASN holds
  • Participating in production call with Division in order to provide regular updates on potential shortages and Supports supply chain management processes, procedures, and strategic directions /  demand increases or drops.
  • Working closely with commodity teams to create and execute sourcing and ramp up/down plans
  • Demonstrate the application of the CIF (Continuous Improvement Framework) modules and support related initiatives on daily basis through establishing, maintaining and complying his/her Standard Work and other tools.  Participate in Kaizen events, Lean Council and Continuous Improvement teams when required.  Generate ideas for improvement according with the local programs.  Implement and optimize Lean Management tools.  Sustain the ELLS tools (VSM, 5´s, TMP, STW, Set up, Problem Solving, Materials Management and 6 Sigma) to drive the continuous improvement performance when apply
  • Supervises personnel within work group.
  • Work together with CS the SIOP activities in order to align demand vs capacity and availability of raw materials
  • Calculate the Finish Goods Inventory levels that the plant must have in order to achieve the OTD goals
  • Lead the materials or inventory on flow( work in process) in order to ensure the ideal inventory in the floor, supervise the correct flow on material on every process (Plant, outsources, hold inventory, reworks and scrap)

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • BA Degree in Industrial engineering, Supply Chain ,  International Business or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred, experience in Materials Planning, Plant Scheduling, Inventory Level Control and Logistics.
  • Strong Communication, negotiation skills and people management.
  • Working Knowledge of MRP / ERP system, (Oracle)
  • Maquila Environment experience
  • APICS CPIM is a plus
  • MS-Excel, Logistics, Data analysis techniques using simple pareto charts and trend analysis. MS-Powerpoint and MS-Word. 
  • Knowledge of Cognos Data warehouse tools, Oracle ERP, Supplier Visualization (Vendor Managed Inventory), ASCP.
  • English skills (written and oral 100%)
