Production Supervisor 2nd Shift
Eaton’s Vehicle Group is currently seeking an Production Supervisor for 2nd Shift to join our team. This position is based at our Auburn, IN facility.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating production activities and leading hourly union employees to meet customer requirements while providing a safe work environment. This role also establishes and maintains a positive employee relations environment by adherence to Eaton’s Values, Ethics and Philosophies. This position clearly communicates expectations and consistently holds self and employees accountable for performance.

- You will champion, coach recognize and motivate shop floor union employees to utilize Continuous Improvement tools to exceed safety, cost, productivity, quality, morale and delivery targets.
You will establish and maintain an environment conducive to continuous improvement manufacturing; recommend alternatives for improving production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
You will support the manufacturing team in achieving production schedule goals and exceeding customer expectations.
You will drive activities to reduce past due, scrap, rework and overtime cost while meeting safety and quality objectives. You will conduct process checks within areas of responsibility and monitor performance to establish standard work formats and pacing boards.
You will maintain and consistently administer local policies to meet day to day operating requirements. Ensure that all regulatory standards and company policies are understood, supported and followed on the production floor.
You will promote positive employee relations to ensure success within the manufacturing environment while indenting and implementing improvement opportunities.
You will coordinate job training for manufacturing personnel.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing and/or operations environment (co-op/internship experience included).
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within a 50 mile radius from the Auburn, IN facility will be considered.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques in a production environment.

Demonstrated technical understanding of production planning techniques.
Experience in driving continuous improvement activities.
