Join Eaton’s Information Technology IT team and help positively impact our business through leading technologies, exciting and challenging enterprise projects and new platforms.  We are currently seeking an IT Analyst to join our team.  This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI facility. No relocation is being offered for this position.
 
The SIS Analyst provides end user support, supports device lifecycle management, and ensures compliance with all of Eaton's policies and procedures with minimal supervision.

  • You will deploy, configure and 2nd/3rd level support mobile devices, printers, PC/laptop hardware, PC/laptop operating system and standard productivity software for internal IT users at locations within a geographic Zone.
  • You will follow standard ITSM processes of Asset Management, Change Management, Incident Management, Request Management, Problem Management and Project Management to serve internal IT users and drive high performance against operational metrics.
  •  You will handle PC Lifecycle Management, including Provisioning, Asset Management and Disposal.  May also assist with disposal of other IT assets.
  • You will participate in application, infrastructure, security and OpEx initiatives and support activities as needed related to site infrastructure that requires physical on-site presence, interaction with site personnel and/or expertise about site-based IT systems.
  • You will provide “smart hands” and eyes support for other infrastructure located outside of the Data Centers on behalf of the Infrastructure SME teams.
  • You will assist with support of various site-based IT systems that are not supported by Enterprise IT teams. This varies widely from site to site.
  • You will influence IT budgeting, forecasting and spending for SIS and Site IT budgets.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
 
  • Associate degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum  2 years IT experience required
  • Relocation is not being offered. Candidate must be located within a 50 mile radius of South Milwaukee, WI facility.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee
 
Position Criteria:
 
  • MS Windows Operating Systems
  • Working knowledge of other IT infrastructure – network, servers, storage, phone systems
  • Miscellaneous equipment used in manufacturing locations such as bar code scanners, specialized printers, industrial PCs, RF Scanners, etc.
  • Ability to adapt and learn; to support complex IT environments that may contain various operating systems, desktop, network, phone, and mobile technology
  • IT Service Management (ITIL) - Asset Management, Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, Problem Management, and Change Management
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor degree
  • ITIL foundations certification
  • CompTIA A+ certification
