Job Description

The Document controller is the focal point for all matters relating to the receipt, storage and transfer of technical documents on site and to the customer both electronic and paper formats.
This role provides a persistent and proactive service across the business by assisting project teams and operations with the delivery of key data onto the company wide systems within given timescales.
A. Experienced in working in an Document Control office preferred
B. CMII knowledge an advantage
C. To provide cover when required for the Configuration Supervisor
D. To draft, approve and work in accordance to the applicable project procedures and CMP
E. To chair CCB
F. Liaise effectively with internal and external customers to ensure compliance with their requirements for effective data transmittal and dispatch of drawings and specifications to the customer
G. Operate and accurately maintain data on Enovia, Config 2K and other onsite configuration databases
H. Be a central point of contact and carryout a counter services for people to obtain information
I. To carry out clerical and administrative duties relating to the storage, release and modification of drawings, Specifications and procedures
J. To assist in internal and customer audits
K. Required to work as part of a Team supporting the ongoing design projects
L. Capable of working on own initiative after suitable period of training
M. Archiving and retrieval of documents
N. Good level of English language (written & spoken communication)
O. Keyboard skills with an appreciation Word, Excel and Outlook
P. Excellent organisational skills
O. Flexible & proactive


Knowledge and Experience:
  •  Experience in a configuration control department
  • Experience in the use of Enovia or similar PLM system
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Computer literate with Word, Excel and outlook
