Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Inspector to join our team.  This position is based at our Beltsville, MD facility. 
The primary function of this role is to visually and dimensionally inspect parts to print. Uphold the quality and integrity of all parts manufactured. Support operations to help meet internal/external goals to both our suppliers and customers.

  • Utilize CMM to inspect diameters, gauge points and various liner dimensions.
  • Able to understand drawings and routing detail to assure product is complete and conforming and uphold quality standards
  • Record/document all receiving, in-process, and final inspection findings as required
  • Uphold quality integrity and generate non-conformance reports when parts don’t meet specifications and perform contract review.
  • Learn/Use MFGPro SSM (Service Support Module) to receive repairs and record Teardown Reports.
  • Dis-assemble repairs and perform detailed visual inspections. Select the proper technical data and routers for incoming repairs. Technical data includes, but is not limited to, specifications, blueprints, technical documents, engine shop manuals, component maintenance manuals.
  • Prepare release to service certificates (FAA, FAA/EASA, CAAC).

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in manufacturing processes  
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of the Eaton Beltsville facility will be considered.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Certain duties performed by this role require this position to be subject to the guidelines of our Repair Station Certificate and are subject to DOT drug testing 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in multiple product types
  • Advance Blue Print reading and GD &T courses  
Position Success Criteria:
  • FAA Requirement: Must understand, read, and write English language
  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs. unassisted on a regular basis
  • DOT Safety Sensitive
  • Strong mechanical/technical aptitude
  • Computer skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Low DPPM
  • Proficient in the understanding, interpretation, and use of GD&T preferred
  • Previous leadership experience and knowledge of MFGPro preferred
  • Possible exposure to radiation through the use of a XRF device for scanning material
