Eaton’s Corporate division is currently seeking a Global Trade Management Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our San Luis Potosi facility.
The Global Trade Management Analyst is responsible to maintain and update compliance documents to reflect current regulatory requirements and procedures.  The GTM Analyst reports to the GTM Supervisor. The GTM Analyst is responsible for engagement delivery, customs compliance and quality, productivity and report management, and exception management.  Within the responsibility of project delivery, the GTM Analyst performs free-trade agreement (FTA) analysis (e.g., NAFTA, MX-Colombia, EU-MX), and post-entry activities as needed or HS Determination based on a deeply technical analysis

Some activities related with the position will be:
  1. Execute  FTA solicitation and qualification, ensuring all necessary documentation is retained to ensure full compliance; Ability to fully explain the rules of the FTA to internal customers, detailing why a particular item qualifies or does not qualify for the FTA
  2. Carry out classification projects, including work with engineering and procurement , to ensure Eaton items are properly classified
  3. Identify situations and events where formal communication is necessary; works with others to consider communication approaches; assists in the development of messaging.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
One or two years in trade compliance experience desired. This experience should include proficiency in medium classification and valuation skills.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate proficiency in US and Mexican customs regulations as well as other government agency regulations.  Excellent knowledge of U.S. and Mexican Government Import Regulations, including knowledge of HTS classification rules and valuation laws.  Experience with Customs rulings in CROSS.
 
Bachelor’s degree required 
Microsoft Suite skills required.
