Eaton’s Vehicle Group division is currently seeking an Electrician to join our team. This position is based at our Auburn, IN facility.
The Industrial Electrician performs industrial manufacturing electrical and service work to include performing all operations pertaining to electrical equipment and circuits used in various plant departments.

  • Troubleshoot and repair various electrical components.
  • Install fuses, transformers, breakers and distribution panels, relays, switches, receptacles, motor starters etc.
  • Install conduits and wiring for production machinery and facilities per national electric code guidelines.
  • Select and procure a suitable replacement for all obsolete components.
  • Replace servo drives, motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s) and encoders; as well as program parameters in drives.  Additionally, replace PLC components such as power supplies, processors and I/O boards.
  • Familiar with test equipment, including Volt, Ohm and Amp meters
  • View and modify onscreen ladder logic and interpret electrical schematics

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) year’s Electrician experience or required Journeyman’s card awarded through the UAW or DOL
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Knowledge in PLC, circuitry and programming, servo drives, motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s) and encoders
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics controls
  • Firm knowledge of electrical code
  • Troubleshooting and repairing various industrial electrical components
  • Experience installing fuses, transformers, breakers and distribution panels, relays, switches, receptacles, motor starters etc.
  • Experience with conduits and wiring for production machinery
