This exciting role is to support Current Product or NPD teams or Engineering programs and will conduct specific low to medium complexity tasks assigned. Candidate will be required to work individually or as a part of a team and with other engineering or cross-functional disciplines.
The primary functions for this position includes:
• Collaborate with a technology and product team to define problem statements
• Participate in development of digital prototype methodologies in Structural Mechanics domain
• Deploy developed DP methodologies in Eaton products to strengthen “Analysis First” strategy
• Liaison with the test lab to validate DP prediction and suggest test procedures including measurement systems.
Your essential responsibilities:
Coordinate with stakeholders to develop Structural Mechanics analysis requirements for wide range of Eaton products
Interpret, summarize and communicate FE analysis results to global audience and provide technical and/or design recommendations
Contribute in maturing DP capability of Structural Mechanics technology domain
Develop test plan wherever necessary to verify FE model and validate analysis approach in correlation with test outcomes
If you are:
Candidate should have Master’s degree in Mechanical / Aerospace / Applied Mechanics / Civil Engineering with Machine Design / Structural Mechanics / Computational Modeling specialization from reputed institute (full time course) with 0-3 years of experience in structural analysis of mechanical components. Candidate must have thorough knowledge of Finite Element Methods, Strength of Materials & Machine Design. Hands on experience on CAE software programs such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, Hypermesh, FEsafe, etc. will be added advantage. It is desired for the candidate to have understanding of analytical calculations and methods to correlate analysis results with test data. Candidate must have demonstrated ability to interpret, summarize and communicate FE analysis results to global audience and provide technical and/or design recommendations..
