Eaton’s Hydraulics division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Cleveland, TN location.

Position overview:

The Supply Chain Manager directs and controls the movement of materials in, through and out of distribution center, and manages key materials-related functions such as material planning, production scheduling and inventory control.

Essential Functions:

 

        Establishes and maintains communications to satisfy the material needs of the facility while facilitating a consistent and coordinated interface with customers and suppliers (via the sourcing team) on quality, delivery, cost, safety and other performance objectives.

 

 

 

        Leads the Materials Planning and Logistics functions to support the plant strategy and project initiatives.

 

 

 

        Accountable to implement and maintain the materials playbook, materials management assessments, and ERP rules management.

 

 

 

·       Supports the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process

 

 

·       Supports monthly capacity planning and make/ buy decisions

 

 

        Works closely with the Central Buying team to bridge plant initiatives and strategy.  Supports cost out opportunities and supplier replenishment, claims, spot buys, outside vendor operations, etc.

 

 

 

·       Supports intercompany trade processes, metrics, and initiatives

 

 

        Provides functional leadership in cross-functional teams working towards continuous process improvement and elimination of waste.

 

 

 

        Deploys lean techniques, standard work, and other cost reduction activities throughout the materials organization.

 

 

 

        Supports compliance to corporate initiatives and corporate commodity strategies to achieve synergy across the operation.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

-        Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

-        Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and controlling production schedules and inventory levels.

-        Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience

-        Legally authorized to work in the United States on an on-going basis without company sponsorship.

 

Preferred Qualifications: (Not required to be qualified for the role)

-        5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.

-        2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience.

-        MBA or Master’s degree from accredited Institution.

-        Knowledge of MFG Pro (Business operating system); materials scheduling, capacity planning and sourcing.

-        Demonstrated success in deploying commodity strategies, contract management, trade management, Cost-out and process change.

-        Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-        CPIM Certification

-        Experience as a Buyer

-        Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement Kaizen Leadership

-        Experience coordinating physical inventory

-        Experience initiating and monitoring cycle counting procedure to inspect and insure inventory on-hand accuracy

-        Experience in ensuring compliance with Eaton’s Strategic ERP rules including dashboard monitoring and corrective action when the plant is below goal

-        Demonstrated mentorship of Value Stream Teams, actively participates in support of cross functional goal attainment, supports a continuous improvement culture and provides support for all plant High 5 metrics

-        Has modeled the Eaton ethical conduct policy, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and complance with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable
