As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for working with our accounting teams in Budapest and Pune on month end close and account reconciliations in compliance with Company financial policies, US GAAP, local statutory regulations, internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley.You will also support the accounting and compliance requirements of the Eaton legal entities headquartered in EMEA , and specifically the treasury and factoring centre’s activities. You will meet reporting deadlines for monthly, quarterly and year-end closings. 

You will operate closely with various departments (tax, treasury, operations accounting, legal & others). You will act as a liaison between the accounting and reporting team located in Ireland, Switzerland and the International Shared Service Centres in India and Hungary. 

Your key deliverables :
  • Lead month end closing process with our accounting teams in Budapest and Pune
  • Prepare or Review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations 
  • Support the resolution of out of balances within the group 
  • Prepare and submit statistical reports 
  • Support the treasury centres and factoring program processes as necessary 
  • Support the compliance reporting and processes for a number of legal entities 
  • Maintain metrics/reports to demonstrate effective process controls 
  • Maintain Quantum & EF3 accounting records 
  • Ensure ethical standards are maintained 
  • Various other administrative and support tasks as assigned 


Do you have / Are you?

  • Professional qualification/degree in accounting 
  • 3-7 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in finance/ accounting within a multinational environment; 
  • Ability to operate and deliver independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work as part of a team, adhere to company standard processes, practices & policies
  • Demonstrable continued personal development in both technical and behavioural areas
  • Fluent in English essential

  • Experience in Treasury & Factoring area
  • Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley and US-GAAP
  • Second European language
  • Knowledge of Quantum software
