Eaton’s Electrical Systems and Services Group is currently recruiting an Intermediate Electrical / Mechanical Assembler to join our team.  This position is based the Calgary facility and will  be assigned to day shift.


Reporting to the Satellite Manager or Production Supervisor, this position is responsible to have a thorough knowledge of ALL STANDARD Panelboard, SMP, Control Product and SOME CUSTOM product assemblies and all related materials required to complete the assembly.  Reviews the upcoming orders and ensures production dates are maintained.  Advises marketing when shipment date cannot be met.  May act as Team Leader for the production area.

  • You will resolve availability of standard material, fabrication parts and shortages of material issues using Oracle effectively.
  • You will provide on the job training on standard distribution and/or control products.
  • You will provide on the job training on standard distribution and/or control products.
  • You will opeartoe all equipment and machinery for fabricating of all standard panelboards, CMP, control products and some custom products, which includes fabricating bus bars and brackets.
  • You will detect and correct errors in own work and detecting errors that others have missed, as well as helping with correction and prevention.
  • You will test basic products such as panelboards.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma/GED or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 80 kilometers of Calgary, Alberta to be considered.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge / experience with hand and power tools
  • Knowledge / experience with basic wiring schematic symbols
  • 1 year minimum experience using intermediate computer skills – Microsoft and AutoCAD
  • Preferred post-secondary diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution in Electrical,  Electronics or Instrumentation Technician (or Technologist).
