The Operations Manager is responsible for directing plant production schedules. Ensures that these schedules are met while maintaining quality and profitability levels. Coordinates inventory and staffing levels. Provides input in company planning through budget preparation, capital expenditure recommendation, manpower, and space forecasting.
You will drive a Zero Incident Culture. Direct the processing and assembly of product at the most economical cost consistent with prescribed quality and performance standards
You will drive Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) activities and actions, towards building a Continuous Improvement Culture. Recommend and assist in establishing and maintaining budgets, manpower and equipment requirements and methods for handling scrap and rework.
You will provide regular training that will enable subordinate supervisory personnel to better direct the operation of their department and assess performance. Prepare reports and keep records as required. Monitor established maintenance controls to see that they are followed as they related to physical plant and production operation.
You will control incoming material per established procedures and see that finished material is shipped according to schedules established by production control. Approve requisitions within the manufacturing area for equipment, repairs, supplies and services as authorized and recommend to plant manager other purchases
You will establish managerial support, credibility and trust. Manage and advise Supervisors and review accordingly to division guidelines.
You will promote and maintain Eaton Values & Philosophies. Direct quality assurance on shop floor to insure consistent quality and continuous product improvements. Represent the company in the community and professional associations.
You will manage continual cultural change. Direct the transfer, start-up and development of new technologies or new models. Direct plant training programs.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or Operations from an accredited institution required.
Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
MBA from an accredited institution.
Lean/Six Sigma certification.
