Eaton’s Power Quality division is currently seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Raleigh, NC facility.
 
The Inside Sales Engineer is part of the Product Marketing team for Critical Power Solutions. Our primary customers are Multi-tenant, Enterprise and Hyperscale Datacenters, Healthcare and Mission Critical facilities. The Inside Sales Engineer provides pre-sales technical and quotation support to Eaton’s Power Quality Manufacturer’s Representatives and the Eaton Direct Sales team on products such as Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Power Distribution Equipment, Batteries and Battery Monitoring, and Services.

  • You will review one-line diagrams, plans and specifications and then offer the appropriate Eaton products to Eaton Sales, Eaton Sales Partners, and customers.
  • You will explain Eaton’s product documentation to specifying engineers and electrical contractors to guarantee correct product application and installation
  • You will support area sales managers/direct sales staff through technical assistance, pricing strategy, competitive review, installation and service information
  • You will create submittals as required for large standard projects, in support of Direct Sales
  • You will participate in scope review meetings and other pre-sales discussions with customers as required
  • You will handle phone calls and provide technical information to sales partners, Eaton customer service and the Eaton manufacturing plant
  • You will interface with vendors to secure quotes and  price to include in sales package

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Engineering program from an accredited institution with a graduation date no later than December 2018
  • Minimum 1 of experience in engineering, marketing, business, or sales (including co-op and/or internship experience)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Familiarity with Data center equipment or design
  • Familiarity with UPS equipment or products
  • Experience with power distribution or electronics
