Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulics division, a part of our Industrial sector, is currently seeking a OEM Account Manager to join our team. This position will cover the greater Guelph, Toronto, and Burlington, Ontario areas.
The OEM Account Manager is responsible for Assist in the development, implementation and execution of regional OEM sales strategies for customer management in order to drive profitable growth in targeted market segments with specific customer accounts.

  • You will provide commercial leadership, cross functional collaboration and oversight to customer specific VAVE cost savings initiatives.
  • You will maintain up-to-date “C360 sales funnel” of customer projects and programs.
  • You will maintain effective communication with global customers, worldwide regional teams, product divisions and the leadership team.
  • You will establish annual “new business growth” sales plan, manage progress and initiate corrective actions as required.
  • You will monitor customer scorecard measures and initiate appropriate actions to continuously improve ratings.
  • You will develop and submit annual sales forecast in support of the Profit Plan, support warranty, delivery, and quality analysis for customer presentations, and create/maintain an account playbook.
  • You will coordinate communication between Eaton internal teams and Customer and support negotiations of LTA’s, MOU’s and pricing agreements

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in hydraulics industry specific to sales, product management, technical support, and/or marketing
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates currently located within an 80km radius of Toronto, Burlington, and Guelph, Ontario will be considered.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution
  • Masters of Business Administration from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in OEM sales
  • Certified Fluid Power specialist
Position Success Criteria :
  • Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge of hydraulic principles and our specific products is essential to effectively manage in this position
  • Ability to display specific knowledge of sales “tools” such as (but not limited to) Karass Negotiation training, “Strategic Selling” and “Large Account Management Program” principles and the ability to implement them
  • Ability to multi-task  due to the number of customer programs, issues and initiatives that may be occurring simultaneously
  • Ability to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the customers’ business and served markets
  • Ability to show communication and team leadership skills to influence and motivate team members, customers, and divisional personnel to achieve marketing and sales objectives
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent professional and ethical skills in all aspects of the business
