Eaton’s Hydraulic Filtration division, a part of our Industrial sector, is currently seeking a Division Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team.
 
The Procurement Manager is responsible for:
 
Directing the Filtration Supply Chain Management (SCM) Team in the Americas and EMEA regions to develop, deploy and execute direct material cost out projects and the implementation of commodity strategies for the Hydraulics – Global Filtration business (including new product development projects) and financial tracking/supporting for Hydraulic Group SCM performance and forecasting.
 
This role also leads standard processes and Eaton Business System tools, drives functional improvement and development of the SCM organization.  This role will work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Product Management, Operations and Engineering to develop, manage and implement the annual profit plan cost out strategies which meet the organization’s cost goals and to deploy and standardize SCM processes across the entire Hydraulics SCM organization.
 
Responsible for managing procurement activities for over $60M of direct material spend. Strategic procurement requires global coordination of sourcing and supplier relationship management, developing strategies, identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities, leading project management activities.
 
In this role you will:
 
  • Initiate, plan, monitor, execute and close global direct material cost down projects within a portfolio program management tool. The projects will provide NET 3% savings to achieve SCM objectives.
  • Deploy EBS procurement tools, processes and procedures , including Eaton Standard Sourcing Process, Project Management SharePoint Database, Approved Supplier List, centralized global project planning & coordination, and Net productivity.
  • Lead and facilitate SCM personnel on development and deployment of Commodity Strategies, SCM Cost Out Project Pipeline, Supplier Risk Reviews, Supplier Relationship Management & Scorecard reviews, LTA negotiations and VA/VE events.
  • Contribute to supplier performance improvement initiatives related to quality, delivery and capacity
  • Lead the annual Profit Plan development of the Regional SCM and Filtration SCM Cost Out plans.
  • Lead and improve the global monthly cost out/cost up/surcharge reporting process, including the rest of year forecast as reported in the Cost Out Database,. 
  • Collaborate with other SCM Procurement professionals within Hydraulics and Eaton to gain synergies and consolidate spend with strategic suppliers.
  • Develop strong positive ethical relationships with suppliers & adhere to Eaton’s Code of Conduct.
  • Manage supplier compliance and communications associated with Eaton Corporate initiatives (Ethics compliance, EHS requirements, etc.).
  • Support corporate supply chain programs and initiatives, including Diversity Spend Reporting, Supplier Risk Management and, International Procurement Office initiatives

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years supply chain management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in SCM or a related field from an accredited institution required
  • Previous Procurement management expertise
  • Minimum 1 year of experience directly managing or leading a team.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 35-50 miles will be considered.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in SCM or a related field from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing or leading a team
