Eaton, North American Sales Division, has an opening for a Project Coordinator, in Arden, NC.

  • You will serve as the commercial liaison between the product lines, Field Sales, Field PMO and the customer during the execution of Large and Major complex project orders.
  • You will develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers in assigned territory or vertical segment.
  • You will use Eaton prescribed tools and applications to enter project orders consisting of Built-To-Order, Assembled-To-Order, and Engineered-To-Order equipment.
  • You will promote proactive project management through timely and accurate communications with internal partners (Operations, Credit, Sales) and external customers relative to scheduling status, expediting, change orders, logistics and financial order management.
  • You will serve as the customer’s advocate by relaying the appropriate level of urgency to peer contacts in the operations and escalating issues as required to management.
  • You will manage daily phone and email activity, providing directions, solutions and updates, including back-up support as necessary for teammates.
  • You will demonstrate proficiency in providing proactive support on complex orders which may include those assigned to Field Project Managers.
  • You will take active role in developing, mentoring, and monitoring On-the-Job-Training for less experienced Project Coordinators.
  • You will meet expectations per EatonCare Service Level Agreement.
  • You will perform all other duties as required by Regional Management.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship


Position Criteria:


  • Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills (written and verbal communication).
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in typing.
  • Proficient in creative problem solving, conflict resolution and managing priorities.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills for managing high volume of transactions (orders, emails and phone calls).
  • Strong analytical skills required to research and document financial history of project orders.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Order management tasks require detailed knowledge (or ability to learn) and competency in both business processes and Eaton proprietary tools and applications such as Vista, SAP NextGen Bidman and Order Manager.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel.
