Eaton’s Fluid Conveyance Division is currently seeking a Senior EHS Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Mountain Home, Arkansas facility.
 
The Senior EHS Analyst ensures plant level EHS programs, policies, procedures and systems are developed, implemented and sustained to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulatory requirements and conformance with Eaton Corporation mandates. Provide leadership and direction for facilities and maintenance for the plant, equipment and grounds.  Maintains site ISO/OHSAS certifications, ensures accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics and closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings, manage interfaces with public and governmental authorities, and direct actions during crises.

  • You will create a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes. Facilitate risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Work with leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.
  • You will support the creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.
  • You will review plant environmental permits and ensures terms and conditions are understood and complied with, ensures required documentation is maintained and required regulatory reports are submitted to the respective agency, e.g., air discharge permits, storm water discharge permits, local waste water permits.
  • You will work to assign MESH (safety management) element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements. Drive and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site. Create and facilitates EHS engagement through the Safety Committee, safety related kaizen events, and weekly Gemba walks needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.
  • You will work with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance of EHS local, state and federal regulations.
  • You will pursue third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton’s EHS program as world class. Create training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion. Participate in the Corporate EHS assessment process.
  • You will ensure all facilities, grounds and equipment issues are addressed in an efficient and timely manner. Work with site leadership team and facilities to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.  
  • Minimum 1 year of environmental, health, and safety experience (or a combination of these functions).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in EHS (Environmental Health & Safety).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
  • Ergonomics experience.
  • Certified Industrial Vehicle Instructor.
  • Fall protection certifications.
  • Experience working within a unionized facility.

Position Success Criteria:

  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Lean Fundamentals understanding.
  • Understanding of ISO 14001 standards and internal auditor.
  • Working knowledge of workers compensation.
  • Demonstrated experience with safety programs.
  • Proven track record of safety metric performance and improvement.
