Eaton’s Aerospace division is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Paint Operator to join our team!

The Paint Operator will be responsible for preparing and painting aerospace components to required specifications.   This position is based at our Grand Rapids, Michigan facility and will be working on second shift.

  • You will use spray application to paint parts to the correct thickness as this is a critical part of the job.
  • You will be responsible for preparing various parts for paint.
  • You will mix paint according to manufacturing requirements.
  • You will verify parts are masked correctly.
  • You will paint fixed and rotating parts.
  • You will visually inspect parts for cleanliness before and after painting process to ensure customer compliance.
  • You will be responsible for the proper use and care of all tools, racks, fixtures, equipment and materials utilized in processing.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Grand Rapids Michigan to be considered.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum 3 years industrial, automotive or manufacturing paint experience is required.
 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints

Position Success Criteria:

  • Must meet the physical work requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions including the ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed. Weekend work should be expected.
