As Procurement Lead, you will be responsible to manage procurement activities for supported hydraulics components, purchased by Hydraulics group in EMEA region to ensure an uninterrupted and timely supply of direct materials & services that meet the organization’s costs goals (cost out, economics) and performance goals (on-time delivery OTD, quality DPPM, payment OTD). Responsible for managing the sourcing, supplier selection and relationship building with key suppliers to leverage Eaton’s purchases, reduce cost and improve supplier performance with the support of global and regional procurement organizations.
 
Your main duties :
  • Work closely with Group & Enterprise Category Management  teams to leverage Eaton Enterprise Direct Material spend through execution of Enterprise category strategies in order to achieve year over year cost out requirements, to improve supplier performance (delivery, quality and payment) to achieve Enterprise supply chain targets
  • Work closely with Group & Enterprise Category Management  teams to classify supplier into “Strategic”, “Preferred”, “Approved”, “Tactical “ and coordinate execution of plants to convert spend to either “Strategic” or “Preferred” supply base. Measure and address non-compliance in usage
  • Work closely with Group & Enterprise Category Management  teams to build and maintain positive strong relationships and performance management structure with strategic supply base.
    • Monitor key supplier performance to achieve financial and performance targets.
    • Monitor supplier capacity and address gaps proactively and efficiently.
    • Develop action plans by key supplier for flowless execution of cost out projects
    • Organize and lead Quarterly Business Review with the key Suppliers in alignment with Group & Enterprise Category Management  teams
  • Support innovation; identify, build business case, submit and implement efficient supply chain management solutions, structures, programs, technologies and systems in alignment with Group & Enterprise Category Management  teams
  • Implementation and execution of Procurement initiatives. Identify and report non-compliance and opportunities for improvement, working with Operations to drive consensus and alignment.
  • Monitor market evolution; perform market intelligence research including global sourcing opportunities and currency fluctuations as well as future trends both technical and environmental

Qualifications

What we are looking for:
 
Required:
  • Supply chain management, engineering or business degree preferred.
  • Min 5 years’ experience with significant direct experience in managing procurement, supply and spend management. Demonstrated success in the development and execution of driving year over year cost-out.
  • Knowledge of global sourcing, material planning & replenishment models, international & domestic transportation, global trade regulations.
  • Ability to understand the business needs, technical and functional requirements at plant and regional level
  • Knowledge of cost drivers –  Understanding of market conditions ; Understands technical specifications, product performance requirements, supply chain processes, and end user expectations
  • Possesses knowledge of Industry trends and risks, incl. regulatory environment
  • Professional functional experiences in following areas: needs / specifications gathering, bidding, negotiation, supplier recommendation & selection, transition planning, program deployment, supplier management incl supplier relationship and supplier performance management. Area of focus may include business continuity planning & risk mitigation.
  • Understands international Trade Management implication, incl tax, duty and customs tariff implications
  • Must be able to effectively communicate to a diverse group of stakeholders including senior management, operations and supply chain management.
  • Results oriented. Must demonstrate a bias for action and implementation.
