Job Description

Eaton’s Industrial division is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Belmond, IA facility.
 
The Quality Manager is responsible for directing, administrating and deploying all activities of Quality Planning, Quality Assurance and Quality Control to meet customer expectations and ensure alignment with Eaton Quality Management System.

  • You will implement the quality system in accordance with Corporate, Group and Region Policies/Procedures. 
  • You will establish objectives, policies, and procedures for plant quality control activities.
  • You will monitor overall plant quality progress and performance and make corrections as needed. 
  • You will report to top management performance and any needs for Quality Management System (QMS) improvement (Management Review).
  • You will ensure that necessary organizational certifications and regulatory requirements are obtained, maintained, and improved. (i.e.  IATF16949 certification, Customer Certifications, EQMS, etc). 
  • You will ensure organizational readiness for customer, regulatory, and other third party assessments related to the QMS.
  • You will represent Eaton in customer related communications on quality status, including corrective action responses, customer visits, quality presentations, PPAP status, customer certification and satisfaction surveys. Follow-up on open issues.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a quality role
  • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in a quality role
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a quality role within the automotive industry
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Advanced technical knowledge in product design functions, manufacturing processes, inspection, metrology, metallurgy, statistical methods, and quality auditing. 
  • Advanced knowledge of machining, tooling, and gauging.
  • Master’s degree in engineering, industrial management, quality, or business from an accredited institution.
  • Industry recognized certificate as Quality Manager
  • Green Belt or Black Belt in DMAIC Process
 
Position Success Criteria:
  • Experience working with any of the following: Advanced Product Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Process, Statistical Process Control, Measurement Systems Analysis, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
  • Experience working with ISO/IATF standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate positive and constructive feedback to employees or co-workers.
  • Advanced knowledge of production planning, product flow, inventory control, and the product and its application.
