Eaton’s Vehicle Group North America division is currently seeking an Engineering Co-Op to join our team this Fall. This position is based at our Marshall, MI facility.
Position Overview:
Eaton’s Fall Co-Op Program is for students pursuing a degree in Mechanical engineering. The objective of the programs is to develop students in the Noise and Vibration Engineering function through a practical experience, as well as assist in the personal development of leadership competencies through training, networking and coaching. The assignment will help the participant develop a wide range of leadership and functional competencies within the field of engineering. Assignments are available for those students interested in Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) engineering, relating to, but not limited to, the Automotive Engine Air Management (EAM) Division Supercharger products.   Wherever your career aspirations lie, you can cultivate your skills in the Co-Op Program!
Essential Functions:
This Co-Op is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the 12 to 14 week paid Co-Op, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders.
This program provides candidates with great exposure to Eaton and would prepare them for a potential opportunity to be considered for the Eaton Leadership Development Programs or an engineering or operations role within Eaton upon graduation.
Example assignments might include:
  • Working with manufacturing and lab technician teams to prioritize, test, and report NVH data for warranty claims and customer returns for current production supercharger product
  • Working with cross functional teams to help support robust NVH for new product development and launch
  • Leading NVH development projects to support robust NVH design in the supercharger product
  • Develop standard work instructions for the Global NVH CoE team


Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):
  • Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (please do not round)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship  
  • This position does not offer relocation. Candidate must reside within 50 miles of Marshall, MI
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Major in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering degree programs from an accredited institution
  • Ability to work between 12 and 24 hours per week 
  • Completion of sophomore year by the start of the co-op
  • Prior internship, co-op, or other relevant experience
  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community
